Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information caankushjain.com (run by Ankush Jain, CA Ankush Jain, India) collects, why, and what you can do about it. I collect only what is needed to run the website and deliver what you ask for, and I never sell your information.

What is collected, and why

Visiting the website. The website keeps its own visit statistics: counts of pages viewed, the site or app you came from, country, device type and which outside links are used. These are counts only, with no names, email addresses or IP addresses stored against them.

Contact and appointment forms. When you send a form, your name, email, the details you type and (for appointments) your phone number come to my email inbox through FormSubmit, so I can reply to you.

Excel downloads and the CMA tool's PDF. Before a free download, you give your name and email. They are saved along with the file you downloaded, and your browser remembers them so you don't have to type them again. The figures you enter in the online calculators stay on your own device and are never sent to the website.

Certificate course. Members who sign up for the course portal give their name, email, mobile number and YouTube channel name. Course progress, checkpoint answers, test scores and certificates are saved so the course and certificate work. Password-reset emails are sent through Resend.

App notifications. If you switch on alerts in the app, your browser's notification address is saved so alerts can be sent. You can switch them off at any time.

The Gate Keeper waitlist. The waitlist is a Google Form. The details you give there are stored in Google Forms and used to tell you about the launch.

Buying The Gate Keeper. Payments are handled by Razorpay, which collects your name, email, phone number and payment details under its own privacy policy. I receive your name, email and payment ID so I can prepare your personal copy: your name, email and order number are printed on its pages, and it is emailed to you through Gmail. Your card, UPI and bank details are never shared with me. Purchase records are kept as required for accounts and tax.

Who your information is shared with

Only with the services that run the website and deliver what you asked for: Cloudflare (hosting and the website's database), Google (Gmail, Google Forms and the fonts the website uses), FormSubmit (forms), Resend (course emails), Razorpay (payments) and Render (preparing and sending eBook copies). Videos embedded from YouTube follow YouTube's privacy policy. Information is otherwise shared only if the law requires it.

Your browser's storage

The website uses your browser's local storage, not tracking cookies, to remember things like your download sign-up, the figures in your calculators, your app settings and whether you dismissed a banner. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.

How long information is kept

Information is kept for as long as it is needed for the purpose it was collected for, such as a course membership, or as long as the law requires, such as purchase records. After that, it is deleted.

Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information held about you, or withdraw a consent you gave, by writing to [email protected]. I respond within 30 days. Deleting course data ends access to the course portal and its certificate record.

The website is meant for adults. If you are under 18, please use it with a parent's or guardian's consent.

Security

The website runs over a secure (HTTPS) connection, passwords are stored only in protected (hashed) form, and access to the data is limited to me.
